Since 1951, we have been providing Christ-Like compassionate care for the elderly through tangible acts of love in all areas and levels of care. We promote family living values and build on our residents' strengths and interests. We are governed by a board of directors from our supporting churches in the area, and we are open to all people regardless of race, color, or national origin.

Our Mission

To provide a continuum of high quality services to the faithful members of our supporting churches and to the community.

Our Vision

Is rooted in the Reformed Biblical perspective that by providing Christ-like compassionate care through tangible acts of love, we minister to the physical, emotional and spiritual needs of those we serve.

Our Waiting List

We support and promote dignity by emphasizing assistance in a variety of interests, abilities and needs. We strongly believe in social model services and programming that includes all activities of life at whatever level is possible or desired. Our role is not to "do for" but to "assist with."
Due to limited space, we do work from a wait list. A one-time, non-refundable fee of $250 is required to place your name on our Assisted Living wait list. The list consists of both member and non-member categories. Upon admission, there is a one-time entrance fee of $750 for members and $1,500 for non-members.We give priority to our members and supporters.

Our Services

We strive to give residents the individualized service they need. We proudly provide the following services:
  • Manage and administer all medications, including ordering or refilling prescriptions
  • Assist with doctor appointments, prepare paperwork, notify family, and set up transportation if family is not available
  • Regular on-going observation, daily blood pressure and blood sugar checks, and breathing treatments
  • Provide assistance with bathing, grooming, and cleaning
  • Weekly personal laundering
  • Weekly housekeeping of units
  • Three healthy, well-balanced meals a day, plus snacks throughout the day
  • Cable TV, phone and internet services
We work with a Level of Care point system, determined by a licensed nurse after assessment.

Our Activity Program

There is never a dull moment at ACH! We offer everything from bingo and Wii games to pet therapy. We take weekly trips to the supermarket and monthly outings to our supporting churches for nice meals. We love to explore our city by visiting surrounding parks, malls, restaurants, beaches, and even theme parks. We also love to host live entertainment from schools and churches or professional dancers, singers, actors, and musicians. Whatever the resident's individual interests, strengths or weaknesses are, we make sure to come up with something fun for everyone!

IN2L Technology

iNSPIRE Quality of Life Improvement Project

We are leading the way to meaningful engagement for happier, healthier Seniors by being one of the firsts in the country and in the senior service industry to provide IN2L technology.

Everyone deserves to continue living a full life as they age—one with joy, purpose, and meaningful connections. iN2L brings people together, connecting seniors with what interests and fulfills them and enabling them to share conversations, experiences, learning, and fun with each other, their caregivers, and family members.

Our Ladies Auxiliary

Our Ladies' Auxiliary has been in existence for over 50 years, and meets the first Tuesday of each month. This dedicated group serves our residents in a variety of ways and provide those tangible extras that make ACH a state-of-the-art facility. These volunteers generate both financial and moral support. They also host our gift shop in the main lobby, which is full of handmade and donated items. All the proceeds from the shop are used to support the special projects and needs of ACH.
