Wednesday Worship

Each Wednesday morning residents are gathered at 10 a.m. in our skilled nursing dining room for Wednesday Worship. This morning we had the privilege of listening to the words of Pastor Klarc Korver. Pastor Klarc is a third generation pastor, and is from Emmanuel Reformed Church in Paramount.

During his sermon this morning, Pastor Klarc had us thinking of Easter.

"Easter was planned before the creation of the world!" Think of that! God knew what the relationship with humanity would require of Him at creation.

God's love is for you and for me. God is all powerful & God is all knowing. He will always be eternal.

God is a holy God and he required a holy sacrifice. His love and grace for us makes no sense. He paid for our sins through the cross. That is why Good Friday is Good! It isn't what we do, but what Jesus has done. Before the creation of the world God chose His son for Good Friday and Easter!

We are made in the image of God and we all know, inherently, what is right and what is wrong. We have a choice to choose what's best for me, myself, and I. Thank you God, for saving us from ourselves and our heart condition.

The moment that you realize that a loved one is no longer able or wanting to live at home is a life-changing moment. Initially, you may feel sad, angry, and relieved all at once. These initial feelings tend to give way to feeling overwhelmed and anxious about the magnitude of the task ahead and the decisions that must be made to help your loved one take the next step.
