2019 Auxiliary Project

Stephanie Guzman • May 07, 2019

The Annual Auxiliary Hostess Dinner was held at 1st Artesia CRC on March 19th. This fundraising opportunity is something we look forward to every year. It gives all of the supporting churches a chance to come and fellowship together in support of ongoing needs for the Home. We were able to view a video with before and after photos of projects the Auxiliary has supported within the past year. The VanWeerthuizen Sisters provided the evening’s entertainment and they were absolutely wonderful.

With support from the Auxiliary the Artesia Christian Home was able to buy 34 new beds for our Skilled Nursing Community, as well as provide new patio areas for our cottage residents and our Covenant Care Community. They also provided a much needed facelift in our Covenant Care and Skilled Nursing Dining Rooms. That evening we also revealed the 2019 project which is providing two new food carts for our Skilled Nursing serving area. These carts will help keep the hot food hot and the cold food cold! The evenings donations were over $21,000! We truly appreciate each and every person that was able to come and support our residents and employees.

These initial feelings tend to give way to feeling overwhelmed and anxious about the magnitude of the task ahead and the decisions that must be made to help your loved one take the next step.
